Model number probably ends in zero, not "O"

Greetings:

I did a quick online search and I think your washer's model number ends in a zero rather than an "O":

KAWE570BAL0

It looks like your control panel/console (Whirlpool/KitchenAid part # 3361988 is what www.searspartsdirect.com... shows) is probably discontinued at this point based on my quick search (serial number dates the washer from 1994).

The link below is how I decoded the age of your washer. If no one here has the control panel that you need, you could try searching Ebay until (hopefully) becomes available.

Best of luck with your search.

Regards,

Andrew S.

I have a panel for KAWE670BWH0 but 1) it's a different layout and 2) it's in really bad condition.

Hi

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your reply and taking time to do some research finding the part number for me. Plus mentioning to try EBay and Shoppers Square.

The handyman was trying to put a shelf back and dropped it right on the washer and dented the top plus buckled the front where the dials are. :(
Before that the washer and dryer were in mint condition and still running strong.

Panel repair

You might be able to remove the control panel front and carefully straighten it - or even take it to an automotive restoration shop to see if they can help as they can do amazing things with damaged/bent aluminum and stainless steel trim.

I would try to keep that set going. KitchenAid washers were nice machines (the set that we bought in 2000 was a KitchenAid set) and it is too bad that they got out of the home laundry business. Whirlpool probably felt that with the acquisition of Maytag that they didn't need the KitchenAid line any longer (my guess anyhow).
