My dad added some anti seize lubricant for a temporary solution until I can replace the rollers. Anyone know where I can get a set of 4 for cheap? I don't want to and refuse to buy aftermarket junk. I am surprised it lasted this long. I got the unit in September and the rollers were squeaking but it worked otherwise. lasted 2 months. Serial number indicates Manufactured March 2006.

Amazon has

lots of LG, and Samsung parts. I paid $24 2 years ago for drum rollers , belt and idler pulley kit for our Whirltag 7.3 cu. ft. dryer. The grease is a temporay fix, as lint and dust can build up and dry it out.

Many parts sources online.  Some handle LG parts, some don't.  Some have breakdown diagrams (AppliancePartsPros.com, SearsPartsDirect.com, possibly others), some list parts for a given model without providing diagrams.  Find the part number(s) needed then Google/search those items for best price.

Bad Roller On An LG Dryer

combo52's profile picture

Usually you only need to replace the one that failed, the others can be cleaned and one or two drops of light oil added to the shaft [ they should not be greased ]

90% of the time the RR roller near the heater or gas burner is the one that fails, a 2006 LG dryer will not likely last long enough to put $100 worth of rollers in it.

This advice also goes for WP built 4 roller dryers, I don't think I have ever put more than one roller on one, if you clean and oil them before they seize or get noisy they will outlast the dryer.

I bought 4 ERP (Exact Replacement parts) Rollers. they were shipped FedEx Express. I ordered these after being told by my local parts center that they are as good as OEM. but they are 1/3 the price

ERP Parts

I have used  their parts in a pinch, they are differently not as good as OEM parts, be sure to save any good ones as you may be putting them back on the dryer, better yet don't waste your time replacing any that are still good.

All quiet now

maytagneptune's profile picture
Today I went to the used appliance store and got some more parts for free from a donor. Today I replaced the Motor,Idler pulley and the According to you John. "The cheap and flammable plastic blower housing" (Not trying to disrespect you By the way) With a metal one. I noticed many revisions on it. it removes 2 screws. The motor is also an updated motor. It is better then the original one this unit came with. Much quieter. Now I only have to wait for the rollers to wear in and I should be good to go for at least a year.
