As a corollary to the discussion about tap hot water temperature. There are 20+yo machines with ATC but most are newer so topic is here. My F&P IWL12 (a Phase 6 model, circa 2004) directly moderates the valves to attain the mixed target temperature. Thus for example, Warm fill spraying out of the flume is 115°F if the incoming hot supply is at least that temperature. Cold and Warm/Cold could be higher than the target if the cold supply is higher. The target temps are adjustable (en masse, not individually) on a range of +6°C to -6°C in 2°C increments. - tap Cold - 16°C/61°F = Cold+ (controlled cold) - 34°C/93°F = Warm/Cold (cool) - 46°C/115°F = Warm - 51°C/124°F = Warm/Hot (medium) - 69°C/156°F = Hot (essentially tap-hot) My AquaSmart (a Phase 7 model, circa 2009) is more crude in that it doesn't directly moderate the mix. It runs tap-hot (Warm, Warm/Hot, Hot) or tap-cold (Cold+, Warm/Cold), moderated with mixed/warm to attain an average around the target. Thus, a delicate or synthetic load on Warm will have tap-hot (or near so) water spraying on it at times during the fill. Target temps are not adjustable. - tap Cold - 18°C/64°F = Cold+ - 30°C/86°F = Warm/Cold - 50°C/122°F = Warm - 56°C/133°F = Warm/Hot - 62°C/144°F = Hot My older GWL08 (a Phase 4 model, circa 1999) moderates the valves. The target temps are best as I can determine per Phase 3 documentation. Target temps are not adjustable. - Tap Cold - 29°C/85°F = Warm/Cold - 35°C/95°F = Warm - 40°C/105°F = Warm/Hot - 49°C/120°F = Hot |

ATC Temps: Normal/Delicate/Silk, Handwash, Wool Cold: 75ºF Warm: 85ºF Hot: 100ºF (starts with tap hot and adds cold as needed) Bulky, Whites, Heavy Duty: Cold: 85ºF Warm: 105ºF Hot: Tap (~140ºF since it is next to the hot water heater) |
