It's a tragedy that work/accent lighting is no longer a thing.

Grants appliances were all Bradford named.

Drooled over these in the catalog in the 70's.  Doesn't appear to be too badly treated.  I'd miss having two 8" elements almost immediately.

Never knew Grant's

sold major apps. That must be one of the final run warming shelf Tappan's. Full glass door. Likely continuous clean oven.

That was actually their downfall--they moved heavily into selling credit accounts, and brought in major appliances as a result. They also had a huge variance in stores--from downtown dime stores to city-edge discount stores. Had they stayed a dime store, they'd have survived longer (viz: Woolworths).

I still have the Grants appliance brochure. Most of the stoves in the early 60s were Sunray POS except for one very nice Westinghouse range; you would have to be blind to miss the quality of the WH range next to the Sunray sourced crap. And it was all named Bradford as was the eatery in the store. This range was from long after our Grants folded. They did better with plants, small pets, toys, bikes, clothes and the wonderful Christmas toy land. Thanks for the credit information. There is a website about Grants stores full of info and memories. They were neat stores for kids.
