I've a cleaning customer who is unhappy with their Samsung "Chef Collection" dishwasher which I agree with! They are interested in "HI End" only.
I'm trying to steer then toward Kitchenaid but they are interested in Jennair and Viking. I know Jennair is owned by Whirlpool but there are lots of choices there and who makes machines for Viking? Also how do
Asko machines rate? Thanks! Greg

I don't think

it much matters. Parts are sourced abroad by all brand makers. Even high end appliances break down. Yes Sub Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, etc. Thermador is not owned or made by the same people as 30 years ago. Viking may assemble their ranges, ovens, and dishwashers in Mississippi, but they buy parts from Asia and Mexico too. I bet even BHSC does in Europe. They must remain competitive in the market.
I know a gal who loves her Viking dishwasher. Another her Bosch. Nothing wrong with Kitchen Aid either. They run quiet, clean very well, and dry too. I would steer clear of Electrolux. As a Frigidaire spin off, they have lot's of problems, mainly refigeration, and dishwashers.

I think some of those so-called high end brands are manufactured in places like Turkey and China.

Vikings used to be made by Asko...don't know now.  The last Electrolux dishwasher I looked at was made in china.
