Problem with bosch dishwasher model SHEM63W55N. I have it a year and half and have extended warentry. Suddenly the cycle will not start. The countdown shows a value and it normally starts with a drain but now nothing happens. The countdown stays the same and doesnt decrease. When I cancel the cycle the display changes to value 1 but still doesnt do anything. I tried to select different cycles but results are the same. I usually use Auto setting. I called PC Richard for service and they said they will have Bosch call me ASAP. Well that never happened they never called back. I called Bosch myself and waited almost one hour to get through someone and she stated she never got a call from PC Richard. (so much for customer service) - she set up a service call for me for 12/22 and said that was the 1st available opening. I am really pissed off. Thats a 10 day wait. (sux) - I am thinking the control board went bad any other thoughts.

Bosch service did come last week on the 22nd as they said. The bottom line it was the computer board that was bad. The tech had a extra with him. It was installed and has been working fine since repair. This is why I tell everyone to take a Warranty. If I didnt have one it wouldnt be worth fixing between the cost of the part and the labor. This applies to any brand. Nothing is made with top quality anymore.

Whew. I've taken out extended warranties our Bosch dw, the LG washer and the GE stove. It's about $80 just to have them come to the house before the clock starts ticking , plus the cost of any parts so it's well worth it I think these days. Lucky too he had the part with him otherwise that might have been another weeks or so's wait. |
