Couldn't let the SmartLoad dryer pass by. That makes six F&P washers, four topload dryers. |

Soak option inserts a 2-hr soak period before the wash water drains (usable on all cycles), with a few agitation strokes every minute (based on older models, depending how it's programmed on this series, presumably the same). Time Saver & Soak should be selectable together, cuts the cycle time in half so 1-hr soak. Pressing Advance (the double-arrow button right of the cycle progress lights) during the soak aborts it to continue rest of the cycle. (Intuitive Eco models have a few minutes more agitation after the soak / before drain, Eco Smart models don't.) Softener Rinse changes Regular and Heavy to a deep/agitated rinse. Normal rinse is a series of saturation sprays and extraction spins. Perm Press, Wool Washables, and Delicate run an agitated rinse so Softener Rinse has no effect on them. |

Congrats, Glenn! You’ve become the Ambassador From Texas for the Fisher & Paykel brand at AW.
They really nailed the soaking protocol on these machines. Flexible timing and no extra water used. I’ve been tempted to try the soak cycle on my SQ, but it’s only about 20 minutes long and uses an extra tub of water. Although it advances to the main wash cycle automatically, there’s no detergent dispenser to accommodate that. From the videos I’ve seen, F&P has one of the most effective water-saving spray rinse features. Puts the spray rinse on my SQ to shame. |
