Hello, I am in the process of replacing the bearing assembly on a Frigidaire Gallery 1997 gas dryer with a reversing drum (Model FSG747GES1). I got the job 90% done and everything was swell until it came time to run the belt through the pulley. The dual idler pulley has two wheels and looks nothing like the pulley in the instructional videos. I've looked all over the place for a schematic or photo of something to show me how the belt is supposed to run through the two wheels. Is anyone able to help? I should have made a mental note before taking it apart!

Proper Belt Routing

The belt just goes between both rollers and around the motor pulley below.,  the flat back of the belt is against the rollers and the grooved side of the belt runs on the motor pulley and against on the clothes drum.

lets see if we can explain this.....

that pulley setup goes over the motor shaft(centered around those two half moon cutouts)...and should bolt to the motors base plate....

the belt comes between the two pulleys on the inside, and around the motor shaft...putting tension from both directions...

keep us posted on how you make out.....

Not the best photo ... like this one, which is not a Frigidaire Gallery but has the same design of dual-pulley idler to handle belt tension on a reversing drum.

Always take a picture or two  or three before touching anything.
