First Year Of The LKM W&D With Covered Controls

1970-71, very good advanced W&D in its day, still standard capacity washer and dryer, 3 speed motor on washer, SC lint filter and three timed dispensers.

The washer is complicated and they usually need a good bit of reworking at this age unless you are very lucky to find one that had very light use.

The dryer is very easy to restore and very good, is it gas or electric ?

Unfortunately no.somebody arrived first.

Then next day I found a maytag A806 for $10.

I buzzed Kevin, he went there to pick up the washer, then he called me and I could immediately understand the subliminal message: "Thomas, I'm here in front of the washer, are you REALLY sure you want this thing?"

I could guess he was probably next to the seller and Kevin would never dream about calling an A806 "thing" or even call me to ask if I really wanted it after he drove several miles only to pick it up.

Anyway, later he came here and told me everything... later A806 (bleach dispenser on the left), in worse-than-horrible shape, too much rust everywhere, broken parts. Probably not even the crusher wants it.

That’s too bad about the LK pair and the Maytag A806. Something better will come along.
