Hi there again, it's been a while since I last created a thread on here.

During the summer, I went up to my third cousin's cabin and I had the opportunity to use their GE laundry set they have up there. Boy it sure does bring back some memories when we used to have our last GE set before we brought it up to our old cabin when we thought we could use a second laundry set up there and then we later sold the place along with the set back in 2007. Anyways, I will say that I am honestly very impressed with both the washer and the dryer. Not only they both feel quite durable but they both do an amazing job performance wise. I got some Ultra Tide Mountain Spring liquid detergent to try out and it's my newest favorite detergent that I've used by far but it's not my most overall favorite of all time. And I've never been disappointed with the Bounce sheets, I think those and the Costco Kirkland kind are the only ones that I've used by far in a dryer.

So what I would like to know is how old is both the washer and the dryer? Mainly because I would also like to know if I can still get parts for both of these or not. I'm assuming that I still can like the belt, the agitator, the motor, etc. Now I may not care about fixing their vacuum cleaners up there when they break since a I know a thing or two about vacuums. But I honestly liked their laundry set so much that I would like to try and fix them up when or if they break. The model on the washer is WBSE3120B1WW and the serial number is AD183577G. The model on the dryer is DBXR463EB0WW and the serial number is DD700928A. And as far as I know, my cousin bought the place back in 2013 and I'm assuming that the laundry set came with the cabin because I really don't think they're that old. Plus I don't think they would buy a used set unless if it already came with the place, I honestly would feel the same way.

Any more info about these two would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

GE serial number date coding repeats on a 12-year cycle.

Washer manufacture date is January of 2002 or 2014 (or 1978 or 1990, unlikely).

Dryer is February 2002 or 2014.

So, presumably 2014?

These were actually built in 2002. Washer still has a transmission and weren’t bad machines for GE.

2002 year

I had these but in the top of the line profile models, washer had transmission. Washer only lasted five years, then I got the Ge profile hydrowaves in 2007, which are still running thirteen years later. Love the hydrowave much better then that short stroke aggressive agitation.

The dryer

Will dry well enough but they have problems with the sliders wearing down and squeaking. These sliders are like bearings that the drum rides on at the front.  My 1 year old GE is doing that.  But I also know others that have done it too.  Problem is easy enough to fix if caught in time.  Never had that problem with a Whirlpool Dryer.

I had the

2000 set at my dad's house. The washer agitator stripped out and the matching dryer got loud. My dad got a used Kenmore Elite front loader matching set with accelawash on the washer and steam on the dryer in 2017. He got it from the people who got it brand new a couple of years earlier in 2015. Nothing was wrong with the Kenmore elite. The couple was moving out of the country. My dad always wanted a front loader, and was fortunate to have a used one for $800. It's a high-tech pair.
