Would you really go to Czech Republic all the way from Australia for those perobot crazy little d***s? as I call them 😂😂
You better organize a shipping if seller is not willing to do it themselves There are many online services that do that. You book pick up and delivery and you pay online. He will just have to pack and fill customs forms. Customs in Australia are kinda fascist. Use google translator and talk to them...you can send money via PayPal...Or bank or money gram. Change with AUD is very favorable too! At worst if they disappear with the money you will lose a small amount. You should try. Chances are that if there is a Czech member here could be so far away he would need them to be posted as well. So... It sure would be easier than travelling there from Australia I mean you might want to go for a trip in Prague but if they are in some place up on the mountains or on the other side of the country you might spend just as much in gas highway and whatever to get there once you are already there in Czech republic... So...I'd go for shipping. That is how I got my machines from other countries... |

Thank you for actually giving me a response instead of just drifting over the thread and going on to something more common |

Well if you already have to go there...
You have to be patient though... Something will pop out sooner or later. We're talking about not only of a vintage machine but also a machine that for Eastern Europeans generally reminds of a time when they were not that happy, you know, that is a communist era washing machine, meaning that is rare because when these countries where freed from communism many folks virtually had a new start and got rid of everything reminding them of those times and happily upgraded to a more "capitalistic"and ""wealthy" western washing machine, and an automatic one. Those kind of machines represent and reminds for many a period of poverty and government rationed goods, and I guess many just had it jumping out of the window back then when a "better" washing machine name available and economy changed. So...it is now " communist memorabilia" and are indeed rare. I guess nobody replied not because it is not interesting but because they cannot help you much. You got to be patient. After all these machines are kind of rare in Europe, having one in Australia and getting parts for one is challenging but everything comes to those who can wait. That is one rule I learned collecting washing machines. All the machines I have now if I look back I would have never thought I could have one of them, it looked impossible... indeed possible it was! |

I agree with Frederico, eBay Kleinanzeigen is a great source for vintage products. Here is the link:
www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de... As a matter of fact, no activator there on offer now, but there is an ad for a heating element. www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de... |

Yes.
eBay got a free classified separate website in Europe. Pretty much like Craigslist in the US. In Italy is "eBay annunci" they came up with it as most folks selling second hand around here just do not want to deal with eBay's really high fees nor PayPal's... Though the most famous in Italy is Subito.it. Kijiji is the European craiglist and is partnered with eBay's classifieds. Plus most just won't care to offer intl. shipping so eBay had to find a way to still survive...but if you ask to the sellers they might come up with an international shipping just for you. And as long as you pay the PayPal payment fee they might accept PayPal. |
