hi guys

I was looking at the bottom of my washer and noticed a container with a pin inside. does anyone know the usefulness of this container with the pin?

This was part of the shipping system, the pin had a strap attached to it that was pulled out to release the suspension when the machine was first installed.

Normally the pin just stays in its little plastic cup and gets recycled when the machine gets shredded for scrap, the pin is never needed again for the washers operation.
