Does anyone have any information about what the future holds for these machines and their matching dryers? The Italian Whirlpool Washer was supposed to be a temporary model for the US market because it was already UL approved and WP was supposed to be seeking UL approval for another European-made washer to sell here but it's still being sold and beginning to have problems with the boards. When it was introduced, there were no parts available for it, so broken machines were replaced with new ones. Now that it seems to be here for a while, service parts must be available. So far the little Samsung Maytags seem to be performing well. I wonder which one Whirlpool is going to keep or if they plan to keep both.
