My own take on it after chef improving several recipes. Mom made Egg Stratas on Xmas morning for years This is what I came up with. I took a Pic but the computer does not like my Galaxy 20 phone, I have to figure that out.

You will need:
9 Eggs
9 slices wheat bread cubed.
1.25# pork sausage cooked and crumbled
.75# Thick sliced bacon cooked and diced
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup colby jack cheese
1.5 Tsp dry mustard
.5 Tsp pepper

Method:
Cook bacon in the oven until lightly crisp(155F) and dice. Fry sausage and crumble in a sautee pan to internal temp of 165F. DO NOT throw out the bacon grease.

Combine eggs, milk, cream, cheeses and seasonings in a large bowl with bread cubes and cooked meats. Grease a 9x13 pan with butter Add mixture. Refrigerate @ 41F or below overnight. Allow product to rest for 30 Min before baking @ 350F for 65 min covered and another 25 uncovered. Allow to rest for 5 min and enjoy.

Thank you for the correction. I have fixed my post to include the eggs. Can't believe I got that wrong!

Interesting! I've always used all sausage but have thought of using a mixture. But I put the bread in the pan, sprinkle the cooked sausage over it then pour the liquid and spice mixture over it. Then I put the cheese on top after the first bake.
