So...the felt seal on the Halo of Heat is NLA, and the only ones out there are $35-$38. At an inch wide, that makes the felt over $1200 a yard. I think not. I went to Michael’s, found some coordinating 100% Wool Felt and felting needles and made my own. If Volvoguy87 can find the high heat glue, it’s getting installed tonight. $15 in materials and enough to make 4 seals.

One trick I did with my avocado DG606 that was converted to a DG306 is I used a long piece of felt weather stripping to help make a good seal around the heating shroud and use a big paper clip to hold it together and so far it’s held up since 2019 and it’s that piece of felt that would otherwise be glued to retain a little tension on the 3” felt seal that helps direct the air through the burner and air mixer assembly.

Ha! Wesley,

Great! From one crafty bitch to another, at 3 mos. shy of 24 years your senior.
Michael's has lot's of bargains, as they are liquidating. I went there last week too. I don't restore appliances, but I wanted some black, grey, or dark brown marine vynil upholstery fabric for my model railroad base extension. They didn't have that, but I got some Testors paint and shading wash stain. They had some hard to find colors.
Rustoleum bought out Testors and discontinued the popular Modelmaster paint line. I presume they may introduce it with another name. Polyscale was another good hobby paint Testors bought prior to.
My next stop was Hobby Lobby, which is higher priced, and was closed due to power problems. I don't prefere shopping there, as they are biased and "thumpy" for lack of better words for their employee insurance coverage policy.
So off to JoAnn fabric's next. They had what I wanted, cheaper than Amazon & $14,99, for $9.99 per yard. After the clerk cut the 3 yards for me, I proceded to checkout. The cashier asked me to pick it up the next day as their system was down all morning.
Unreal! After luch I went to Walmart and found Amereican made vynil marine fabric for $6.99 per yard.
