 Thank you washninja for taking the time to record, edit and post this video. It’s interesting to see the wash action, or in this case, the lack there of, for this washer. Unfortunately, because the auger is rigidly attached to wash plate, all it did was repeatedly pull down, then push back up the same 4 or 5 (or 6?) towels for the entire 45 minutes of the wash time. The single oven mitt simply floated on top, then floated on the side near the tub the entire time, never getting close enough to the auger or wash plate to actually do anything. Cheers to LG for making the attempt to create a top load washer with an “agitator“. Where they failed was not taking the time and effort to design a proper “dual action agitator” this machine so desperately needs! Had they done so, clothes would actually be moved continuously down to the wash plate to get the mechanical action necessary to actually clean clothes. IMHO. | ||

Not a bad washer, but there needs to be a few bugs that need to be worked out if they want a successful washer. This will work well with a under loaded load, but will struggle with larger loads of laundry and comforters. The indexing tub tends to bog down the turn over/wash action a little and I wonder how a existing LG top loader with a wash plate will work if their new agitator is put into place since those have some sort of tub brake.

Return To Top Load Washers With Agitators ??? There is a lot of interest among consumers about TL washers with agitators because many consumers have had not great experiences with impeller TL and FL washers in the last decade or so.
Unfortunately lame washers like this without tub brakes and no way to actually move clothing from the top to the bottom of the tub and back again all the while using obsean amounts of water are not the answer and will likely be a short lived design in the market place.
Thank You for going to all the effort to film and document the operation of this washer, Now when we soon see one of these on the recycle pile I will not even waste my time picking it up for free and playing with it to satisfy my curiosity.

Excellent vid, watched it mostly at 2x speed. Echoing the above, the centerpost fins impede load rollover instead of promoting it. Items on the perimeter don't get enough action ... until rollover improves after the 4th top-off fill which is more water than should be necessary. Goofy that the latest toploader design revisions ... Speed Queen, WP & Maytag, Samsung, and this LG ... have gone excessive on water usage. The Turbo/spin wash action doesn't do anything much useful IMO. Detergent should be measured. :-) | ||

Thanks for the time and effort you put into this video!
The counter-clockwise stroke of the agitator does an admirable job of rolling the load toward it and downward, but the long clockwise stroke pulls the clothes right back up and outward again. I think a much shorter clockwise stroke would help that situation. If the load didn’t get pulled back up there would be some impressive rollover taking place. I do like that Easy-looking agitator, though. | ||

I think the spinning motion was not WaveForce but rather Compressing. Getting the actual WaveForce action to occur seems rather difficult: the washer probably has to have just the right amount of water. Advertising videos for the TurboWash 3D definitely show the cascading action as an available "motions".
