hello to all aw members your toughs on this my toughs is the previous owner left that vintage washer in a mess and base on the close up of the control never use hot water or warm water wash to me this washer is a complete filth and possibly full of germ and mildew pretty sure the previous owner never let the lid open to to let the wash tub dry after the load what i would do to clean it up would set the wash rinse on hot water extra rinse on let the washer fill and would let the washer run wash rinse no clothes hot water only cold water valve off with bleach of course to kill any germs inside the washer sigh i can not believe some neglects there washers if a machine is well taken care of and i than aw members for teaching me that can last for years sigh as a member who love to see older washers including direct drives machine i would never leave or sell a machine in such a poor state or neglected so much
