Does anyone know how to determine the age of a Sears Humidifier by Model number?

You need to give us more info! Is this humidifier attached to a furnace? Or a stand alone. Pics would help!

Thank you for your reply. This is a kenmore roto belt model. I suspect that it is older. There in nothing like it on the market.

Manufacturer code 758 indicates an Emerson product. I have no idea how old it is. We had one of these for a while back in the 80's, that my mom got from the church sale. Seemed like it didn't make that much difference, so she gave it back to the church sale a couple years later.

We had on like that and it was purchased about 1978 from Sears.

A furnace mounted

is my preference. I change the pad before the winter, and clean the frame with vinegar. It costs $8. No fan, just drip type. I have the water valve on the supply line opened just enough so not much goes down the drain. Our ambient humidity stays around 55 or 60%. Minimal window sweating.
I remember the Sears Best furnace power humidifier we had growing up. It was huge, and mounted in the heat duct just above the new gas furnace my dad put in. It had an electric fan, and automatic and manual limeguard. The case was heavy plastic, the control stamped steel with steel conduit.
