Madison Avenue showing off again.  The Lady of the House is so proud of her matching GE laundry pair - even paid extra to get pink.  We might assume that was to match her kitchen appliances - they might be in the same room as this washer and dryer.  After all, the room is nice enough to have wallpapered walls and lots of natural daylight - perfect for growing houseplants.  Certainly not a dark old basement or garage!

But, what's this?  They (spreading the blame equally between husband and wife) purchased the TOL models, even to include the Suds Saver feature.  Nice!  But.... where's the required laundry sink/tray that would make said feature operable?  Doesn't appear to be one in this space, for it would traditionally be right where The Lady is standing.  So, without a laundry sink, those extra hoses are supposedly pushed behind the washer and the additional "technology" that they paid for under the wash basket is not being used.

But, she wanted it and she want's YOU to want it, too.  That's Madison Avenue at work for you.  Just don't confuse us with the facts.

The ad states that the suds saver is optional.  I can’t tell from looking at the control panel in the photo if the machine in the ad is equipped with the optional suds saver, my eyes can’t make out print that small.  So it would appear that she didn’t spring for the optional suds saver.

Eddie,

The controls for the suds save are located on the lower control panel, between the toggle switches and the timer.  It's a slide switch with 3 positions - Save - Off - Return.  On the non SS models there is nothing in this area.

Thanks Lawrence,  I thought that perhaps that switch could have been for the suds saver, but couldn't read it in the photo. Now I know.
