Hello,

My current collection of washers consists of a Kenmore 80 series, a Hotpoint VXBR1060T4WB (with matching dryer), and a frigidaire gallery (with matching dryer).

I'm quite curious whether any of these are actually considered "good" washing machines. Any opinions on the reliability and general performance comparison of these three? If I were to get rid of one of these machines, which ones would you suggest? Which one would you use as a Daily?

Thanks!

Bart

The Kenmore (which is a Whirlpool-sourced direct-drive) is 1st choice IMO.  Manufactured 28th week of 1999 per the serial.

I don't know Hotpoint model number syntax but VXBR1060T4WB doesn't search.

The Kenmore keep. It will be pretty easy to find a matching dryer for it too. I'd ditch the Frigidaire pair for sure. The Hotpoint pair would be slightly more reliable than the Frigidaire.

Keep the Kenmore for sure. It has by far the highest build quality, dependability, and performance of the three, plus it has more features. If you had to get rid of one, the easy choice is the Frigidaire.
