This is my antique Hamilton.  Something is strange about the name plate. There is the model # 700, but it is crossed through with three lines and 975 is written to the left of it.  700 was the model of the gas model in 1947 and 1948. I guess they made too many name plates before changing the models and repurposed the left overs for this model.  She dries like a champ. The Hamilton method of drying is far different from dryers with air flowing directly through the drum. In a Hamilton of this style, there is a slower moving stream of air that keeps the moist air at the top of the drying chamber and a faster moving stream of air that blows across the base of the machine to carry the moisture away. It dries permanent press fabrics safely on HIGH heat. An infrared thermometer scanned through the window registers 145F, but the temperature of the exhaust air only registers 115F.

October 28, 2021

Last night and earlier today, the house was cool and it was cool outside so on October 28, 2021, I dried the first loads of the season in the Hamilton. It took the slight chill off the house and dried perfectly. I love Hamilton drying.

Quite frankly, I don't remember adding a link to the post, but thanks for pointing it out.
