Hi there. I have taken some screencaps of washing machines/dryers from some movies and tv series. If anyone wanna add more screenies, you´re welcome.

Now first pic is from a swedish tv series that aired here in 1980. The machine we see is a Hoover Automatic. Dont know what number it is.

All screencaps are made with a program called Fraps. Its a great program. The movies/tv is on DVD expect from this first one.

That one is recorded on VHS

The title is "på kurs med Kurt"

Then we move to a newer tv series: Lost.

Here we see the Kenmore/Philips Whirlpool machine/dryer They have in the bunker.

In the last pic we see a washer on the ground. This is from the movie "Snatch"

Probably an 80´s zanussi/Electrolux or something.

Hotpoint

Hi Fredirick thanks for compiling these. The machine on the floor in the last pic looks like a circa 1983 Hotpoint with a brown fascia and chrome door.

It does look much more like a Hotpoint than a Zanussi I think.

I've no screencaps, but the homes of the "Desperate Housewives" are mainly served by Bosch and Frigidaire FL machines, and Miranda in S&TC had Miele's in her apartment.

Home Alone! :-D

How can't remeber that frightening basement?!?!? Here the title was "Mamma ho perso l'aereo" (=Mum I lost my flight)... generally is been replayed on TV during Christmas vacancies...

Really amazing seeing Kevin handling with the softner! :-D

As I haven't got any DVD or can't extrapolate the screenshot as you did, let me prompt some other title such as

"Tutto accadde un venerdì" (=Everything happens one Friday)... that one with Jodie Foster that swop his personality with his mother

"Io e zio Buck" (=Me and my uncle Buck)... that one with John Candy, who came to his niecies to look after them while their parents were out, he had a interesting "exploding" cas, which his nephew did't want to take to get to school

"Desperate Housewife" (=is the same!)... look after that Boshc FL set...

And many other I saw of course but now can't remeber...

THANKS Fredrik... Very kind from you to share those screenshot!

Bye
Diomede

cool screen shots.
I'm guessing those frigidaires are the dreaded models from the 80s with a typical agitator.

Home Alone - Frigidaire

Hi, you has the model of the Frigidaire washer that appears in the film Home Alone? It would also like to see photos, mainly of the interior! Thanks

In the Sixth Sense, that was an early-70's Whirlpool paired with an 80's Kenmore dryer.

Great pictures!

Horizon 2000 ?

looks like they might be "horizon 2000"design WCI Franklin washer-uprated capacity design introduced around 1990-about same time as the movie.Plastic inner and outer, indexing basket, pump above the motor instead of below as the earlier design.

I recently watched the sequel of Home Alone and noticed the Maytag top loader in the basement scenes. Does anybody happen to know what model it was?

From the picture…

It appears to be an HA806, from around 1972-74.
