$400 for the pair in New Orleans, LA

The dryer is the 27" width design, with the lint trap at the base of the door.

VERY nice set!

Those will provide many years of thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and accurately dried laundry with proper care. Just know that being 25 plus years old they may need refurbishing to be daily drivers. Once this is done they could last another 12-15 years.

Nice set, but not really crazy about Whirlpool 27” dryers and I’ve worked on one before and are somewhat of a PITA to work on and trying to put the belt onto the tensioner and motor pulley isn’t the easiest to do unless you can remove the back panel to make it a little easier. Whirlpool 29” dryers are a breeze to work on and you can replace the belt without having to move the dryer away from the wall.

Working On WP 27" Dryers Vs 29" Models

The 27" dryers like this are actually easier to work on than 29" models the same age. To install the belt you just reach in and thread it on the motor pulley and idler pulley much easier because the drum in in place not hanging at an angle and then you have to struggle getting the front panel on the lower clips on the 29" models.

The 27" dryers are more durable as well with the drum supported by 4 rollers, you almost never see a bad roller on one.

That said I still like the larger diameter drum on the 29" models and lint filter on top where it belongs.

My neighbor has that same set (or I should say her husband, she passed a few years ago). I always liked these style consoles in the monochromatic white.

It's my understanding that all the 27" wide dryers that match the whirlpool made front loaders (Duet) are the same basic dryer but with a different front and a flat top.

Same goes for the stackable coin-op dryers.

I like the 29".  It's just been around since the 60s and it's still made. I can't even count how many I've cleaned, fixed, used, and sold over the years.

Awesome washer!! Awesome washer I have this model in my garage. Terrible terrible dryer that particular design just did not dry well leaving clothes damp ... never was a fan of that kenmore dryer.

Lovely set! This was one of the last series to have a hot/warm setting, right?

Kenmore

I'd bought a set very similar to this, but likely with more use than these have had. Within about 3 months the timer failed on the washer and 2 weeks later the motor failed on the dryer. Fatal blows.

These are lovely though.

These are mid 90s  I bought a new mol washer in 96 from Sears that had that console.
