They don't like the cold

Hi , it could be due to the temperature of the incoming cold water . Has this error only started with the colder weather. I remember long ago when i used to work on this model range reading a technical bulletin , it stated that if the incoming cold water temperature was very low the ntc temperature sensor would read this as an error. It could tie in with when the machine is loading in more and more cold water for the rinsing. I guess they were designed with Italian water temperatures in mind. Just a thought. Nigel.

Error '1A'

It would seem to suggest that either the heater element is knackered, or that the heater relay on the printed circuit board (PCB) is stuck/knackered.

It could even be a burnt-out copper track on the PCB, or just cracked or aged solder.

1a error

thanks for the reply the strange thing is the heater works ok during the program am hoping it is the relay thats on the rear of the machine but i dont know if you can get them as spares as all. i had issues with the machine a few weeks after getting it the drum was leaking but thats sorted i managed to get an other zanussi with the same drum and do a swap

Did you swap the FLE3000's heater for the other heater?

What model was the donor machine?

Heaters

Ah - be very cautious of assuming that just any old heater will do...

In the days of the Hoover 'New Wave' (electronic machine) and Hoover 'Classica' (electro-mechanical timer), the service manual stressed that the correct wattage heaters had to be sourced for a particular machine. Failure to do so could lead to wrong temperatures, or possibly programmes being aborted in the electronic machines.

Also, check the wiring between the thermistor and the PCB, look out for corrosion at connectors, or broken wires.
