I found this type doing a google search for "metal cabinet safety latch". At work the cabinets in our break room have them on some of the doors.

I've got one of those on an equipment cabinet in the workshop here.
It is indeed installed on the left hand door, while the right hand door has a lock. Which lock I rarely if ever use. It beats the hook and eye setup of the left hand doors on other cabinets in the workshop. Maybe I should order some elbow latches to replace the annoying hook and eye setups. |
