Is there a way to fool the Maytag MVWP575GW commerical grade agitator to provide straight HOT water?
Just saw this YouTube video comparing the Maytag MVWP575GW to the SpeedQueen TC5003WN.
The guy says the Maytag MVWP575GW does not provide straight HOT water when HOT water is selected. The machine tempers the water, with the water only being 90 degeeres. The SpeedQueen TC500 does provide straight HOT incoming water.
Is there a way to fool the Maytag to provide straight HOT tap water? Like connecting the HOT water hose to the Cold water inlet on the machine and selecting the Cold water wash cycle ? Or is there a thermal switch that will cause an error?
I am looking to buy a new top loader old style agitator and after watching the above video am leaning towards the Maytag because he says the dual action agitator does a better job cleaning than SpeedQueen's single action agitator. Price isn't an issue since the SQ is just $150 more.
I have a severe case of OCD so clean clothes is the priority, not high efficiency, noise and having a zillion options. After cleanliness, the 2nd priority is reliability which I know is SpeedQueen's strong point.
