Have you tried jumpering the wires from the two sides of the lid switch to see if that completes the circuit? |

I bypassed the lidswitch this morning and it's solved the problem. Many thanks to all for the help! Here's a couple of photos for your interest Jeff. It's a (large) portable model that we attach to the sink. |
