I haven't been able to find a w/d that will fit in a 32.5" space. My old ones (wish I'd kept them) were 27" deep. None of the regular size front load models seem small enough, and I want to avoid a compact. I'm looking to stack with a gas dryer that will vent on the left. Suggestions please?

btw, I emailed Maytag about the Neptune MAH6700 after seeing your (warning) posts b/c it was small enough to fit. I asked if they knew of any problems with it. here's their response:

"The unit has been discontinued we are not aware of there being a problem in these models though. If you have additional questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us."

WHO CAN A GUY TRUST ANYMORE?

27" depth? Check out the Frigidaire front loader or the newer Kenmore HE2 or Whirlpool Duet Sport.

Could you use one of these things...

Venting out the back can widen your possible selection set. I have no stake in these periscope things, I just found the picture.

Go with WP

The Neptune 6700 is a piece of junk. They're no longer being made, but remaining stock is still being sold. If the standard Duet is too big (I'm not sure of the dimensions, but they're on the WP website), the Duet Sport will fit.
