 Can anyone identify this machine? It's at a house that sold recently next door to my parents. The new owners weren't supposed to move in until June but something changed and they're in now ... so the sellers had to get out unexpectedly quickly. Mom called yesterday, said the machine is on the front porch ... unknown if the sellers dont't want it or are fetching it later, but being that it has been moved outside the new owners presumably don't want it. Notice the Mr. Appliance floor mat at the door in the 2nd photo. They took over a Western Auto store in town some years ago that segued into a Mr. Appliance before it shut down several years ago. Also collected a few cars with a custom-built hobby garage. | ||

Hello Glenn
Looks like a Montgomery Wards Signature. One model featured a Fill 'n Drain hose that was enormous, long and wide like a flattened fire hose that wrapped around the machine. OR, the Western Auto version whole name I've forgotten. Machines very very similar. I have the Wards with a self-installed wringer light.

Barton?
I see two small control levers - looks to me like a Barton. Have a look at the pic in this previous thread...

Not a Barton
First, the wringer column on the Ward's is massive, while the Barton's is narrow and on the opposite side--when did a brand ever switch wringer sides? Second, the Barton has a really wide control panel, and the knobbed levers are far apart, while the Ward's is narrower. If the levers on mine were pointing upward, you'd see it's positioned like the panel and levers in Glenn's post.
We have seen this machine here before, the model with the wide, flat wrap-around hose; someone will remember. I have a distinct memory of Tom commenting about it. | ||

I suspect 1950's two toned colored beauty laundresss is 
Catalog retailer GAMBEL'S-SKOGMO hardware chain brand CORONADO, or WESTERN AUTO stores house brand WIZZARD, they had unique products and always unique machines. Never used or seen a BARTON MFG, however they were a large mid-west location on the rail lines and could ship multi badged products for any retailer. Curious to know, also looks like the chrome guide is missing on the wringer body. Thanks Launderall

I haven't yet looked under the skirt (or tried to run it!) so don't know the condition of the mechanism. The mechanical timer runs. The Pump and Wash levers aren't completely frozen/stuck. | ||
