I have a Speed Queen LWN432SP115TW01 on order and have read that the Normal Eco cycle has a spray only rinse. Looking at the control panel for the older models, the timer positions look very much the same. I'm wondering if I could replace the timer with one made for the AWN4325 or AWN432S and have a normal rinse on the "Eco" cycle (which would now be a Permanent Press cycle).

I've already seen that the control panel on their electronic ones can be swapped out so I'd assume the same could be done on their mechanical ones.

I'm going to do the load size mod when I get it, so maybe I'll try the timer replacement after that. I hate to think of how much money I'll have invested in this top loader when I'm finished -- haha! But I'm thinking this will be my last chance to get a new top loader with all mechanical controls. This will be my first Speed Queen.

This machine still has a normal cycle with a deep rinse so I don't see why you would replace the timer.
