www.candy.de/de_DE/geraet...

They just ripped of basically everything from the display except for some very basic stuff.

The rest all goes via smartphone.

That's apparently they way we are going now?

Not sure what to think about that...

I think I'm going to be sick...

That Candy looks a rip off of the Indesit Moon with their only being a button and it looks absolutely hideous. Wonder how many cycles it has?

It's a gimmicky fake

It's not a fake, sadly

It's on sale at ao.de.
That's where I spotted it.

It's pretty cheap, 279€ including shipping for 8kg (that should be a 50 odd liter drum for Candy) and 1400rpm spin.

It did remind me of the Moon indeed.

The push buttons on the UI are:
-On/Off with a WiFi connection display
-40-60 Eco
-20C
-Favorite

Idea is to connect your smartphone if you wanted any more cycles and start any cycle from there.

So I guess the cycle selection will be plentiful.
Offloading that to the smartphone could offer unlimited cycles, potentially.

Candy Wifi... Hoover WiFi?

I have the 12kg Hoover that has the "Wizard" WiFi app etc... masses of programs and ability to build your own too. And we get new programs via the app at times too
Its a pain to get active but once its setup, the app is simple to use.

it's certainly an interesting, minimalist design, I think this model is clearly designed with younger buyers in mind, always using their phones including my other half! but unlike the infamous Indesit Moon, you can see the load going round and you don't have to worry about mould later in its life, it may divide opinion but at least Candy has its market sorted out. :)

...yes younger users, the ones who doesn't know how to wash. The ones who thinks pods and liquid detergents are better than powders and the ones who wash everything on cold and quick or on eco. The right model of washer for those who has stinky laundry habits and disgusting and moldy washer interior.👏 👏
Yes there are options to use via smartphone other programs but I bet no one will and they will stick to the 20°C cycle or the eco 🤢
