Hello all, I just wanted to write an update on a machine I purchased last December.

I needed to find a portable dishwasher for the temporary living environment in currently in and I stumbled across this Whirlpool powerclean on marketplace. It was listed only for 100$, and this machine came with light soap scum within the interior, very clean and like new for the most part. It was hard to tell in the photos until I seen in person before I hauled it away, and it was indeed like new and must have not been used much in its life. That was until it met me, the previous owner was selling it because they had just moved into a new home locally and he didn’t need it, assuming the place had a dishwasher already and previous homeowners left this machine behind. It came with all the paperwork and manuals, and even the sticker adapter.

I’ve been using it a few times each week since December and I’ve not had one issue with it. I do have city water so at first it was really tricky to balance what I was using as far as additives for the rinse but I’ve got that down now. This machine has to be one of the most powerful ever made on the residential market, and I absolutely love it so much I just wish it was quieter. The only catch to getting such a deal was that the owner mentioned that the soap dispenser does not activate, and never has for me either and I’m unsure of how to repair it and what parts I’d need. Since I knew that I figured the rinse aid dispenser wasn’t working also because I never noticed it ever being dispensed. I’m always around when I run the dishwasher so after the ore wash I just flip the main cup open, I always use pre wash according to the soil of my load, my favorite has been Cascade complete gel. To correct the issue of no rinse aid I had to find some Jet Dry solid rinse aid baskets that I found on Ebay, the box was even from 2004 🤣 Unfortunately Finish/Jetdry discontinued the hanging baskets some amount of years ago not too long ago, most likely because nobody bought them anymore and everyone uses liquid now. Even though these baskets were made for machines without a dispenser, so I order these about every few months and they work perfectly and combat the disgusting city water we have here extremely well. You’ll also notice in the interior shot another hanging item which is just finish freshener, another item they discontinued and found on eBay.

Overall it’s been an incredible purchase and I’ll never sell or get rid of this machine in my life. Once I get a place where I can build one in I’d

You mentioned the freshener isn't made anymore.  If you ever have trouble finding any check out mieleusa.com.  They make one you hang just like yours and it works beautifully.  I ve been using them a few years now and I love the way the dishwasher smells especially just after its run.  You can also pick them up on Amazon but I usually wait for one of Miele's 20% off sales and stock up.  I didn't realize anyone else made one.  Nice looking machine by the way.
