I picked up this haulaway WL26CW1 (serial Sept 2007) from a store in Austin. It's an LCD touchpanel model. The LCD had gone bad, backlight works but blank of graphics. Also exhibiting a bad detergent dispenser circuit and weak pump. Disassembly found two of the suspension dampeners leaking grease and one of the rods bent. One side of the lid was broken where it attaches to the hinge. The store owner had run test cycles for his YouTube channel and cut the latch tab off the lid to trick the lock. It has some exterior scratches (paint fixes that) but no rusting, apparently was installed in an indoor environment. Cleaned up very nicely, so I decided to do a full refurb. The pump problem was caused by the accumulated debris but I found a NIB pump on eBay for a steal. New suspension rods (the most expensive item). New recirculation hose (those are hard to clean). Nice used lid. The original display board is NLA, substitutes to a newer P/N that has a firmware update which requires also changing the motor board to match. Both are available new or Corecentric will repair/swap but I found them used on eBay. I could have found the older display board on eBay but the original motor board may also be bad, related to either/and/or 1) the bad display board, and 2) not feeding full power to the detergent dispenser solenoid. The display board isn't yet arrived so I have an LED panel on it that I already had. It's for a 3-dispenser model (detergent, softener, bleach) but WL26CW1 has detergent and softener, no bleach. The LED board has a set-up function for the dispenser configuration but it runs two dispensers as detergent and bleach, not detergent and softener, so softener dispenses toward end of the wash period. The Softener button activates the bleach function and the Bleach button becomes a delay start. I also have an AquaSmart LED panel for no dispensers which would work but isn't near as nice as the proper LCD which provides for all the variations of dispenser configurations, and all the extra cycles that the LCD model offers. |

Kirk, yes. Correct LCD display board arrived yesterday. Dispenser Type is via press/hold Left Arrow & press Start/Pause, choose, then Power to save. Machine Size (basket diameter) is via press/hold Left Arrow & press High Efficiency, choose, then Power to save. All U.S. models are the largest size. |
