I came across these today. Super neat looking set. Dryer works and washer just needs a belt supposedly. Does anyone have any info on these. They look to be in very good shape.

Same ad

I remember coming across these when I was on marketplace. Nice set, but I don’t know anything about them either. On these I feel like it’s harder to tell which is which, but this seems like a very early DD portable, correct me if I’m wrong

These are from my Hometown, I have talked to the seller a few times, He wa very sketchy, said his girlfriend wants the price raised since they are collectable, I offered to pay the new price $150, and I would be up home to check on my house and I can stop by.. I messaged him again when I was in town and he stood me up to pick them up.. Just beware if you try to ge them, I may try again when I am home in a few weeks...
Good Luck,
Chris

Seller told me they’re not available but still keeps them on the marketplace so who knows. Not something I’ll be able to get but I thought they were pretty cool.

Same

After I bought my Montgomery wards washer, I still saw the ad up on FB marketplace, it’s either he forgot to take it down, or he wants to scam someone

Whirlpool built these compact portable or stationary/convertible, and full sized washers and dryers for Sears/Kenmore for ages with various models. Also sold in Canada under "Inglis".

There are remarkably tons of them still out there and you just can't kill them! *LOL*

Had vintage harvest gold portable/convertible washer for a bit, but sold it on to another member as was getting something new.

Still have the matching compact dryer which works a treat. Will dry about 5 to six pounds of wash in under an hour done in the Miele or AEG washers with high speed final spins. That or things are put into spin dryer for a bit to remove more water before going into machine.

Good amount of parts are still out there including belts for washer. If this seller is being a flake just keep looking, either as set or individual pieces these Whirlpool/Kenmore units appear frequently enough.

This particular set was introduced circa 1975 and was around for several years.
