Friends of mine are giving away a free Maytag 806 set.

Contact Tom at: stacksofmags@aol.com or Rob at williamr1248@aol.com, ideally, they need to be gone by June 1.

Here is what they say about them:

"Robert, I wanted to add little more information about the Maytags:

I purchased new July 2, 1974, one owner everything works on both washer and dryer, Tom stopped using when he took my mom's Maytag set after her death in 2012

only repairs : washer timer replaced and dryer heating element replaced one time

purchased from our local Maytag/Frigidare/Zentih dealer, Arbuckle Appliances, Noblesville, Indiana

Only moved one time from Shoreline to Morse landing in Cicero, Indiana

No rust on outside cabinets

No damage to either the washer tub or dryer drum

both backsplash lights and washer and dryer tub lights working

Both operate quiet as a mouse."

I think someone in the area or state needs to save these, for their age they look brand new.

Hopefully someone takes up this offer. What a beautiful set! I love these old Maytag machines with the center dials and backlight setup.

I have contacted him and will hopefully be picking them up. These will be really nice with a cleaning and waxing.
