Hi All,
I'm new here and after months of looking at newer washers and dryers and reading reviews, we realized we miss the old stuff. When washers actually cleaned your clothes and dryers actually dried. So that led me to this forum. We are in the Altoona, PA area and are looking for either a Maytag 806 of 906 set, doesn't matter if dryer is electric or gas. Willing to travel in a 50 mile radius of us to get them. If anyone has any leads on any, at least just the washer I'd be forever grateful.
Thanks,
Beckie

And good luck in your search. With a fifty mile radius limit you're likely going to need it. An A806 shouldn't be that hard to come by if you're willing to extend that range ( I drove over 470 miles each way for a set I really wanted ), but the 906 is going to be much harder to come by. If you're willing to consider having the set you want shipped to you the odds of success improve significantly. For example, this set in the link is available free. It would just need to be shipped.

Travel radius is temporary

Until we get our truck back on the road, once its back on the road my fiance has no problem traveling further to get them. I figured finding something close was gonna be slim to none lol.

806's have been popping up all over.....may be an option to have them shipped....

but when machines do pop up, procrastinating has not been a proven option for many...

and another set....

just note:...they may need work, either now or in the future, especially if your going to use them as a daily driver....

you may do better with a set from the 80-90's Dependable Care version....
