This was a great time and a fun way to break the pandemic, I drove down with my friend Larry and he had a ball, could not believe what a nice group of guys collect and use vintage appliances. I have known Larryfor over 15 years from the Lamba Car Club.
Larry and I stayed with Jerry Gay at his 5 star residence, what a great host.
There were a few washers that needed attention at Bobs house, There was a 2011 FD FL washer that had snapped its right suspension spring, unfortunately we could not get a hold of a spring locally so this will wait for another visit.
We did put in its place a 1964 MT A124, we had worked on reviving this washer at last years event but it beloved a bad leak so Bob was not able to use it. We found that the leak was just at the tub cover band seal so we were able to reposition the clamp and get it to stop leaking and installed in place of the FD FL washer.
That MT 124 was really a nice running washer, a PITA to work on because of the highlander cabinet construction, but a smooth solid machine when it was altogether.
