Nice brochure for Miele UK laundry appliances. Also features the new "large" Miele washer and dryer that will arrive in the United States early in 2007.

The "uber" Miele's to be introduced into the United States, are the models with the roundish doors (W100,T7000) IIRC.

Miele has finally broken down and the new model line will feature a washing machine that runs on 120V, not sure about dryer, but doubt it will be any thing else than 220v/240v. No gas dryer on this side of the pond yet, I think.

These units will be "large" by Miele's standards though not as large as say the Duet line. Again could be wrong about some things and or things may change prior to rollout.

Miele rep told me the new laundry line is due to arrive by early 2007, but Miele is famous for missing those dates, so don't be surprised if we are all on tenter hooks until Easter.

It really is a shame Miele only sends a few models across the pond from their washer/dryer line. OTHO, in a bid to go more "mainstream", one hopes these new Miele units have not gone the way of say BMW or Mercedes-Benz in terms of quality. Today if one wants a Mercedes-Benz built like they "used to" you pretty much have to spring for the AMG line. Same for BMW, cannot tell you how many pepole have said parts of both cars came off in their hands during a test drive.

New Miele Washer

It's look fantastic of the newest Miele washer, is that right about plus from 1600 to 1800 rpm (spin)?

What's name of the store?

The W1000 and T7000 series are not the Uber Mieles that will be launched in the US. They are the new BOL models overhere. 5 and 6kg capacity depending on the model.

Meant to say the new units will "LOOK" like the models mentioned. Least that is what one is hearing.

The newer Miele's are a bit more plasticky on the outside, and the BOL models no longer have chrome doors, however the innards are exactly the same as they have been for years and they are no more plasticky than a Siemens or AEG. In fact, they are very smart machines and is a real step away from the traditional design they've always had.

Perhaps now we won't get people moaning that Miele machines look too dated.

Does anyone know if the combo machine will be introduced to the US along with the big machines?

No Combos

Far as one knows. Miele USA rep only knew about the washer and dryer.

Miele really only brings a limied part of their laundry line across the pond. Still wonder why they will not bring over gas dryers considering it is how many American homes dry laundry.

From the looks of this brochure the capacity is still small and they all require 220 volt hookup. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I suppose their gas dryers over there would, of course, be 220v, unlike ours.

Yes, that is correct.

Word is that the new Mega Miele line will include a gas dryer.

They already had a gas dryer for the european market. The W 4000 series also has a chrome door but none of them seems to have a spin speed up to 1800. Only the W3985 Navitronic model has it.
