Well the price is right, It would be a lot of work and very difficult to paint over the porcelain top and have it stick and last.

We probably have complete black control panels for this dryer, if you are here some day we can hunt one out, I generally do not have time to ship parts.

I think it is possible. My brother and I painted a 1962 Chevy Impala, in 1975 in our garage with spray paint we bought at an unclaimed freight store. The car was our grandparents bought brand new, in 67, they got a new one and my uncle bought the 62 for his wife, then gave it to my brother in 75. it was blue and we painted it red. It stood the test of Pennsylvania winters for about 6 years. I'm sure with the paint technology today, there are products to paint that black. My sister's brother in law does body work on cars for a living. I can ask him what would be needed to prepare it for painting. I would go get it for $25.

Chris,

Buy the dryer and keep it white. The set will look like a life sized pair of salt and pepper shakers!

Train Guy,

Do you work on a trin, or are you a model train enthusiast?

Darth Vader wants his dryer black. Make it happen.

By the way, I have spray painted yellowed plastic part white in the past with a quality spray paint, I don't think it will weaken the plastic.

I have been a collector of Lionel, American Flyer, AMT/KMT, and Marx trains for nearly 50 years. They take up a lot less room than appliances do!
