Last night I had a dream my grandmother still had her white Supreme 80 set, I haven't seen the set since around 85 when they were retired for a stackable Maytag (they wanted the washer/dryer in the garage and to free up the laundryroom)

I remember the left side of the washer had the Whirlpool scripting and Supreme 80 in cursive, then 5 temp selections with black buttons (she washed everything in warm/warm) then the center of the console were the words "Super Wash and Magic Clean Filter" then the load size selector (kind of a cone shaped knob) then the cycle select knob. It was a standard capacity machine and she had the matching dryer.

Anyone have any idea what year these machines were or better yet a picture of a similar machine? I saved a mid 80's standard capacity whirlpool in hopes of finding the top to that Supreme 80 someday =)

Funny how you only remember what things look like in your dreams, literally!

Thanks!
S

Were those the ones that had the wood panelling on the front?
