Who made Caloric washing machines? I have never seen on or heard of one either. I know stoves my that name, but never washers. Thanks, Gary

It is one of the machines made by Beam. Beam was sort of the D&M of automatic washers; just give them the money and they would have a top loading automatic with your name on it. I believe Beam made machines, at least at the start, for Speed Queen, Firestone, Philco, before they bought Bendix, Zenith and possibly One Minute. All of these names had long histories of selling wringer washers and later One Minute had that huge gas washer-dryer combo that did not spin.
