I was just wondering if anyone knew when KA transitioned from using fiber gaskets on dishwashers to rubber ones. I am in the process of making one nice KDS18 from the two machines I have and I noticed the machine I picked up in VA was all paper gaskets and the machine I found locally had all rubber gaskets on the soap dispenser and rinse aid dispenser etc. I’m assuming the fiber gaskets didn’t hold up as well or just weren’t able to be reused during servicing. Just something I noticed and I thought someone here might have some insight about.

I ended up making my own gaskets for those parts from rubber sheet. I made new screw gaskets and detergent cup gaskets. Worked awesome.

Same material

That white paper like material is the same as one of my KDS-18 machines.
