GE Roll Out DW

combo52's profile picture

Did anyone else notice that the service kit to correct rusted out bottoms in GE DWs is installed in this DW, you can see that a SS bottom plate is glued in this DW.

This kitchen and appliances look to be heavily used.

Not a good link.

Combo must have x-ray vision. I only see a pic of the exterior of the DW; none of the interior. A rusted-out bottom was what caused the demise of our GE dishwasher like this in 1971.

No X-Ray Vision

Hi Tom, the last picture in the original listing shows the SS panel in the floor of the DW.

I sign off nearly ever post with my name because It sounds silly to use my handle Combo to address me, Thanks

I must be missing something. The original post by Steve has only two pictures - one showing cabinets with the dishwasher, the other with the range and cooktop. John posted about 20 minutes before Steve posted the link, which isn't working for me, as it brings up FB Commerce Manager. Is my phone not letting me see something?

John, I'm sorry I irritated you.

Blame your phone.  Don't get me started on those loathsome and addictive devices.  The link works fine for me on my laptop, although I despise Facebook and am annoyed that they have replaced craigslist among those who wish to contribute to the care and feeding of the divisive and destructive Zuckerberg monster.  Again, don't get me started.

I have no idea how John's post beat Steve's, but yes, the SS bottom is impossible to miss in the dishwasher money shot from the listing.

Thanks, Ralph. I had a feeling this device might have something to do with it. I really would like to see how the rusted machine was repaired; guess I'll have to look it up directly. I don't care much for FB either.

GE Applanaces In SS Maryland

I guess the reason I knew about the GE DW was because a friend locally sent me a link to the ad.

Not to mention

bajaespuma's profile picture

It looks like its detergent dispenser has broken off of its mast.

Pity, it looks like an SU- 60P, which, I think, was the first year for this generation of pink pull-outs.

In looking at the oven interior pic, how do you get bent shelves? Putting too much in the oven? Or did someone have a tantrum?

Thanks, Bob! As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Our GE was over 12 years old when it rusted and leaked, so my parents bought the Kitchenaid KDI-16 to replace it.
