Recently i’ve been in the market for a replacement tub ring for my 1983(i think) Kenmore 70 series belt drive washer. After years of neglect by the previous owner, the metal snubber plate has rusted away and crumbled into basically dust as soon as I tried to clean it. I’d like to replace it with one with the waterfall lint filter from a similar year Kenmore or Whirlpool belt drive but is it possible? I know i’d need to make a lot of changes to this washer, including a new recirculation pump, but if it’s possible Id like to do it since it’ll need a new tub ring anyways. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

well of course you will need the tub ring with the built in lint filter...

and most likely your pump already has the 3rd port....

all you need is a length of hose to connect the two...

I have converted several machines like this...

Thanks for the links, as well as the help! I have purchased the ring, and depending on if it has a lint filter already, i will order a lint filter for it after installation.
