We just picked up a set of 1-18's. The previous owner said only the cold water worked. We took the water inlet valve out and it had a bad solenoid and one of the plungers is missing the needle and spring. On another thread from a few days ago someone said that some of those parts were still readily available. Does anyone have part numbers for them or the best place to look for parts to try to rebuild the water inlet valve?

This was the first hit on ebay, there are likely others listed as well.  I can't remember the brand of the kit I've used for a long time, a commercial supplier with stainless steel parts.  Either will work just fine for this valve.

Nice set!  Good luck with them.

Rebuilding Your 1-18 Inlet Valve

The kit Greg [ reply #1 ] posted will probably work,

It would help if you posted a picture of the valve you are having problems with as there are several different valves used in this machine.

Hi Beckie, The rebuilding kit from reply #1 is the correct type kit for rebuilding your inlet valve.

Thank you John and Greg

Are the solenoids replaceable on the inlet valve also? I appreciate all the help from everyone.

Agitator cap or fabric softener dispenser part numbers

We got her up and running, but it's gonna need either an agitator cap or a new fabric softener dispenser eventually, one of the tabs that holds the dispenser on was slightly cracked . I've been researching but can't seem to find part numbers for either of them.

Somebody has to know or have parts laying around. There's gotta be a cross reference for numbers too. I know looking up parts for my mom's old machines there's aftermarket parts with different numbers than factory. Hopefully someone can help you out

Complete valve part number is 633632

If you don't what to futz with rebuilding your old one.

We got an inlet valve rebuild kit and found a new complete inlet valve and ordered it too. Now it's just finding either an agitator cap or a fabric softener dispenser for the top of the agitator, which I know both are probably harder to find.
