This is the exact pair that I purchased in about 1995.

$225 for the pair in Atlanta, GA

What's the story on Superwash?  It's apparently important enough to have an indicator light (if that's what it says).  Just longer wash time or does it involve soaking or a pre-wash or some such?

It does say super wash. There was also a model that had 2 lights there. One for super wash and one for soak. I’m not familiar with the sequence of operation but I would think the lights were there to alert user machine was still in operation although paused at times. I think there was even a model with three lights there if I vaguely remember correctly.

In a brochure dated 10/94 there was a LAT9824 with soak, wash/rinse, and spin lights.

LAT9804 with an on and a soak light.

LAT9704 and LAT9604 with on lights.

In this brochure I didn’t see a model with super wash. That may have been a feature for 1996.

Super Wash was extended wash on the normal/regular cycle.
