These look decent and the owner of the property I manage wants to stick with coin op machines, so this might be a decent way to go. They are asking $650 for the set, I’m thinking they’ll take $500. Is that a good price point for a washer/dryer commercial set? Any problems/wear points to look or listen for when checking them out?

well in a commercial setting, you dont always have control over a machines usage....
the main thing I find is bearing/seal failure and/or the dreaded mold/mildew issue.... watch a few vids and learn how to put in new bearings....inexpensive and easy as pie.... even on the home units, there is no 'clean washer' cycle....actually has never needed one....the machine will clean itself....stick with Hot/Warm washes and LCB when needed for the load..... note, I dont clean my machines outside of a wax/polish and wipe down of the exterior.....I dont leave the doors or dispenser doors open.... at one point I had ten kids, they got a workout.....and still run flawless.... |

well anything is what someone is worth paying....
many coin op machines are usually only put up for sale once the warranty runs out...at least that is what they do with SQ machines...your going to have to investigate what coin-op machines go for... for one thing, I would put the washer into a spin cycle, that will tell you if it needs bearings or not... and is the dryer going to need cleaning out and serviced... and/or is there a warranty with these units?.... |
