We had an unfortunate accident on the way back with the Whirlpool Machines today. I also picked up a free 1970s to early 1980s model speed queen Washer as well nearby. Unbeknownst to me and unfortunately the lid for the speed queen must have been loose and while driving home it flew off which was bad enough, but during its journey it also hit the front of the whirlpool washing machine. This has chipped the front of the machine in one spot and I’m just hoping that there’s someway to touch up that color. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ll post pictures of everything when I return home as I’m not quite there yet. I’ll also be needing a lid for the speed Queen washer if anybody has one, LOL. Thanks

Step one when moving W/D and other appliances: Tape down lids and doors. That is also why I love my Dodge Caravan, I could drive through a hurricane with a W/D or fridge in back safe and sound. |

transporting machines 101
lesson 1: carry a roll of tape with you to secure all lids and doors before transporting....this goes for washers, dryers, fridges, stoves...and sometimes removing knobs or racks as well... and there are ideas for securing the suspension on certain models for transport, especially if your laying them down.... |

The issue was the door pins came out where the door hinges. I taped the end that opens closed. I’m not that much of a newb lol. I just came across a picture from the ad and I didn’t realize one pin was broken/out of place on one side. This is why it came off.
