I have a 1973 KitchenAid superba KDS-17.
I REPLACED THE INLET VALVE AND IT ONLY WORKED TWICE. WHEN I PUT MY TEST LEADS TO THE WIRES IT SHOWS NO VOLTAGE. I DO HEAR THE CLICK OF THE CONTROLLER BUT NO VOLTS
ANY SUGGESTIONS??

No power to inlet valves on a KDS-17

Check the overflow switch, easy is to just bypass it and see if it fills.

I would plan on replacing that old inlet valve with a new single one.
