Great to find this place for advice! I found this part from inside our dishwasher today and not sure where it is supposed to be placed. Is this a broken piece or I can put it back somewhere?

This is part of the manifold for the upper wash arm. It is held to the back of the tub with rubber nipples.

Thank you so much! @Vacman1961

So is that possible to put this back or I need to replace the upper washarm component? Will the dishwasher still functional as is?

The upper rack arm won't spray without that piece in proper position.  Water flows up from the pump through a hose (on the exterior of the tub) that fits into a hole on the top of the tub.  The water manifold mates to that hose and to the spray arm for feeding water into it.  See items 1, 2, 3 (your misplaced part), 4, 17, 14, etc. on the diagram.

Thanks much! @ DADoES

So are there any online resources that I can refer to to work on this task? I know there are many experts here. I am not handy at all so would appreciate any advise on this job. Our dishwasher still runs perfectly so really want to keep it running!
